Words can never harm me

It is a shame to hurt the feelings of the press:

"WASHINGTON -- President Bush expressed misgivings Thursday for two of his most famous expressions: 'Bring 'em on,' in reference to Iraqis attacking U.S. troops, and his vow to get Osama bin Laden 'dead or alive.'"

I want to know what those "unintended consequences" were. I appreciate someone like Rumsfeld, or in sports, Bobby Knight, who have the temerity to say to the press what everyone is thinking. Journalists can be so uptight and manipulative. Most everything anyone says is twisted and spun to suit the agenda of each journalist. I don't feel the President needed to apoligize. I think he needed to give some of the press a slap upside the head.
