Blind conductors

Who hired this guy?

"Amtrak's California Zephyr train service has been suspended from Colorado to California following a derailment in Ruby Canyon west of Grand Junction late Tuesday. A westbound train hit a 12-by- 12-foot boulder along the Colorado River in Ruby Canyon."

How in the Boston Globe can a person not see a 12 by 12 foot boulder in the middle of a track? I doubt this guy should have even a drivers license. "I am sorry officer, but I just didn't see the UPS truck parked on the side of the road."

BTW: I was birthed in Grand Junction in St. Mary's Hospital.
