"NEW YORK - The abortion bill most likely to become federal law this year would affect a relatively small number of pregnant teens, yet its impact on them could be dramatic - sharply reducing the options for girls in many states who dread telling their parents of their plight."
Any bill that increases the inaccessibility of abortions is a good bill. Pro-abortion activists tend to dramatize the situation. "The only other option many of these girls have is a coat hanger." Rape is a horrible tragedy. Ever person who rapes another person ought to be castrated and strangled. Any father who rapes his daughter ought to be thrown to wild animals. It is the most heinous crime any person can perpetrate on another person. But it never justifies the equally has heinous crime of abortion. I feel for young girls who have been violated and now have to carry an undesired child. Who wouldn't feel sympathy for them? But abortion is not an answer. We could as easily justify a women murdering her husband because he beats her. As Christians, we believe that God is sovereign, and that He can work good out of any situation. That news is difficult for a person who has endure such hardship to grasp, but it is nevertheless the truth. He can comfort those in the most horrific of circumstances. Thus, we are left with a choice: either trust in God to work in the situation, or attempt to control the matter ourselves, and commit a greater crime. Rape is wrong. Abortion is wrong. Nothing can justify either of them.
